It’s easier to swap homes than you think - there’s even no need to align on dates
—The first thing I thought when you told me about home swapping was, is it not difficult to align dates? How probable is it that someone in Oslo is going to want to come to my place in Paris on the exact same dates?
This is the reaction I got from a Parisian friend who just had a baby boy and was curious to try home swapping to Mallorca.
—Nope, there is no need to align on dates because you’re not going to swap with the same person.
—Why is it called swapping then?
—Well, traditionally it was that, but it was always pain to align dates. It’s much easier to host people from the community, earn credits for that and use those credits to travel on the exact dates you need. And that’s the only way it works at Keybento.
—And let’s say I’m just starting out and I don’t yet have enough credits to travel because I’ve not hosted enough?
—You can still travel. You’ll just pay a higher per night price that takes into account that you don’t have credits.
—But I could earn those credits in the future, it’s I don’t have them now.
—That’s also not a problem. If you pay the non-credit price and earn credits in the meanwhile, we’ll reimburse you the extra you paid before your trip.
Basically, we never want to stand in the way of you booking an available home or be caught out by timing. We’ve designed everything to give you max flexibility.
—Kind of like booking an Airbnb.
—Kind of. Just more human.
